Article Processing Charge (APC)

At IJSREM – International Journal of Scientific Research in Engineering and Management Studies, we are committed to fostering timely dissemination of high-quality research. Like many journals, particularly those operating on an open-access model, we implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) to sustain our operations and maintain the integrity of our publishing process.

Understanding Our Funding Model IJSREM operates independently and does not receive financial support from any external organizations. Our entire operation is financed through the processing fees contributed by authors. These charges are essential to cover critical operational expenses, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the journal.

What Your Article Processing Charge Covers: The Article Processing Charge enables us to cover various essential costs, including:

  • Web Hosting and Server Maintenance: Ensuring continuous online accessibility of published articles.
  • Manuscript Editing and Formatting: Professional preparation of manuscripts for publication.
  • Editorial and Peer Review Administration: Managing the rigorous peer-review process, coordinating with reviewers and editorial board members, and ensuring thorough evaluation of submissions.
  • Operational Expenses: Covering employees’ salaries, office expenditures, and other administrative costs.

Detailed Article Processing Fees:

Our processing fees are structured transparently based on the author’s country of origin and whether a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is included.

For Indian Authors:

  • INR 800: For papers published without a DOI.
  • INR 1000: For papers published with a DOI (includes up to 30 pages).

Both options for Indian authors include:

  • Online publication of the paper.
  • Inclusion of a maximum of 7 authors per paper.
  • A complimentary e-certificate.

For Foreign Authors:

  • $30 USD: For papers published without a DOI.
  • $40 USD: For papers published with a DOI (includes up to 30 pages).

Both options for Foreign authors include:

  • Online publication of the paper.
  • Inclusion of a maximum of 6 authors per paper.
  • A complimentary e-certificate.

Why APCs are Beneficial: While a processing fee is charged after manuscript submission, it contributes significantly to enhancing publication speed and the overall quality of the journal. Such fees encourage authors to submit well-prepared manuscripts, as only those confident in their work and choice of journal are willing to proceed. This focus on quality submissions can positively impact the journal’s standing and influence. Furthermore, a transparent fee structure fosters greater accountability from the journal regarding the quality of peer review and the rationale behind manuscript acceptance, ultimately benefiting the academic community.
