ABSTRACT
This paper was intended to investigate parents' views on the benefits and challenges of e-leaning they faced during their children's learning through e-learning platforms by the Department of Education in the Sultanate of Oman. Target: Parents of students at Al Batinah South public schools. Data were collected from 346 parents through an online questionnaire that took random samples from parents. The questionnaire measured parental views on the benefits and challenges of e-leaning. Research has shown that parents of students were interested in using e-learning in their children, for example, e-learning helps their children to use modern educational programs and to regularly access recorded videos of daily lessons without much effort. However, it explored some of the barriers they faced while following their children in e-learning, such as the technical challenges they faced related to network limitations and the organizational challenges associated with the difficulty of time management. The data collected was analyzed, and as a result recommendations were made for use in future e-learning strategies and policies in Omani schools.
