Abstract

This case analysis examines the impact of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) on the livelihoods of women in Idukki, Kerala. MGNREGA is a flagship program of the Government of India aimed at providing employment and improving the living conditions of rural households. The study focuses specifically on women beneficiaries and their experiences in accessing and benefiting from the program.
