This research paper conducts a comprehensive and humanized comparison of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) and Private Sector Banks (PVBs) in India. By analyzing critical dimensions such as financial performance, operational efficiency, technological advancements, and customer satisfaction, this study provides a robust foundation for understanding the dichotomy in Indiaâs banking ecosystem. It uses the CAMEL rating framework, financial ratios (ROA, ROE, NPAs), and a qualitative lens of customer interaction. The findings affirm that private sector banks outperform in innovation and profitability, whereas public banks play a crucial role in social banking and financial inclusion. Strategic reforms and a balanced approach are recommended for future sustainability.
