Skin pigmentation disorders are a common cosmetic concern affecting individuals of all ages and ethnicities. Face serums have emerged as a potent solution due to their ability to deliver concentrated active ingredients effectively. This review explores the role of serums in treating pigmentation, focusing on their key ingredients, efficacy, and safety. Natural and chemical actives, such as vitamin C, kojic acid, and hydroquinone, have shown promising results in clinical studies. However, challenges such as skin sensitivity and formulation stability persist. The paper also highlights market trends, consumer preferences for clean beauty products, and the potential of personalized skincare and biotechnology in advancing pigmentation treatment. This comprehensive analysis aims to guide consumers and researchers toward effective and sustainable solutions for managing pigmentation issues.
