Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is viewed as a new paradigm shift for resolving one of the most difficult global problems of today which includes, global warming, environmental pollution, and sustainable development. Review of the selected topic explores various applications of Artificial Intelligence including climate modeling, environmental monitoring, renewable energy forecasting, sustainable agriculture, and the proper use of Artificial Intelligence in a way that will ensure its ethical use. Results show that Artificial Intelligence techniques such as machine learning and deep learning are significantly beneficial in addressing environmental challenges. The application of Artificial Intelligence enhances predictions accuracy and helps monitor the environment in a timely manner and assist in making evidence-based decision-making. Artificial Intelligence can play a vital role in ensuring the production of food and mitigating the risk of disasters as well as ecosystem protection. There are, however, challenges associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence including high energy consumption of Artificial Intelligence techniques and their negative impact on the environment and the complexity of Artificial Intelligence techniques and its potential risks involved in their use. These barriers prevent Artificial Intelligence from being used to solve world issues. An analysis of Artificial Intelligence usage for climate models shows that it is indeed useful.

Full Article/Conclusion

How fabulous it is that Artificial Intelligence can lend its aid to solving the problems of a changing climate and environment sustainability. In my opinion based on what a number of different papers have shown, it seems AI has made a significant contribution in a number of ways, from better understanding the climate to monitoring it more closely to predicting how much renewable energy we can use. In addition to that, AI has been used to determine where disasters might strike and how to get the most out of our food production. And these things can be very useful in trying to address the tough questions of climate and sustainable solutions. In addition, as more new techniques for AI are invented in the future due to the improvement of technology, we are going to be challenged by new innovations and a new environment. With Artificial Intelligence, we can know even more about how to love our environment and know what to do. In terms of the efficiency side of things for AI, I'm amazed at how much it has already helped us utilize our resources by predicting and processing data on the fly. This could be seen as a benefit, because many people have difficulty processing information, and we wind up overusing or underusing something that we might have had plenty of if information was properly processed. AI can manipulate data in this way because Deep learning and machine learning are possible. employed to help the programs to run more efficiently. This is what renders it so crucial as it allows us to utilize our resources more effectively and make more informed decisions. While AI may transform many areas of life, there are biases when it comes to applying AI to environmental sustainability. There are many reasons why these aspects are difficult to find, such as too little information about AI. The other problems concerning AI was its expense, as the majority of people/groups did not have the means to access such cutting-edge technology. The third problem was the very large gap between theory and practice in AI application. Another significant disadvantage to consider is the impact of AI on the environment. They are enormous energy consumers in case of many tasks for artificial intelligence. This is ironic as the resource is being used to save the planet – but in the process, we’ll make even more pollution because energy uses resources, that can be released into the air, further exacerbating the problem. If the ratio of advanced technology to human input/efficiency is not designed properly, it could exacerbate the environmental problems we are experiencing. In our use of AI to address the problems of a changing climate, we need also to be attentive to the sociotechnical concerns of this new technological tool. We must ensure that the uses of AI are not biased or unfair and have a fair impact on humans in their daily lives. Ethics research suggests that there is more significance in AI governance than technology in artificial intelligence. And so, let's take care that the advance of Artificial Intelligence is not carried out in such a way as to cause further harm to human beings. By introducing a high-level policy, we can utilize all the applications of Artificial Intelligence, considering human rights, and thus enabling Artificial Intelligence to be helpful, not harmful. Hence, we allow AI to be a good thing, not a bad thing. It is clear that AI will be significant in climate science. To realize these benefits in the field of climate science, we must ensure that the software we develop is very transparent and that using it will not consume a great deal of energy; it should also be able to function in real-world situations. This will be realized only by collaborating with experts in the field to integrate AI with legacy climate science programs, improving both. And it will be necessary to follow Green Artificial Intelligence principles, so that the computer resources that are used to have as little impact on the environment as possible. from a high level perspective so that when we relay all of these down to them to intuitively understand how all of these concepts can work together to extract more from the field of artificial intelligence investigation. Much like the potential for AI to help analyze climate data, AI holds the potential for great good in relation to climate change issues; however, just as with any other technology, it brought certain downsides and ethical concerns to be considered. As we strive to correct the variations of the climate we be faced with, we must take caution to ensure that we are balancing out that which is good for us with the effects that good is going to cause to Earth's environment, and then, are going to be balancing that with an ethical stand point, and are going to be balancing that with team work (World) considerations. Utilizing ongoing research and policy from the world of AI, we can contribute to forging a brighter future, where such technologies may enable us to surmount any global challenges we encounter; still, also by considering these thoughts we can use Artificial Intelligence to make the world a better place.
