Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a significant variousness in the guarantee of the structural integrity and reliability of critical components in the marine and the aeronautical industries. Owing to extremely harsh working environments and high-stressed conditions of these very industries inspected and assessed for defects, cracks, and corrosion are highly rigorous. Their approach allows assessment of material properties, geometric configurations, and possible modes of failure without damage to nor modification of the component itself. Different techniques such as ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, acoustic emission testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrant testing are employed to detect surface and subsurface anomalies.
