Human Resource Management (HRM) practices play a vital role in improving employee engagement, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. In today's competitive business environment, organizations focus on effective HRM practices such as recruitment, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation, employee participation, career development, and welfare measures to retain talented employees. Employee engagement enhances productivity, reduces absenteeism, and increases organizational loyalty, while employee retention minimizes turnover costs and ensures business continuity. The present study entitled "A Study on Human Resource Management Practices with Special Reference to Employee Engagement and Retention" aims to examine the HRM practices adopted by the organization and analyze their impact on employee engagement and retention.
KEYWORDS
The study concludes that Human Resource Management practices significantly influence employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Well-designed HRM practices, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, compensation, employee welfare, recognition, and career development, enhance employee motivation and satisfaction. Organizations that continuously improve these practices are more likely to foster a highly engaged workforce and achieve better retention. Investing in employees through effective HRM practices ultimately contributes to improved productivity, organizational commitment, and long-term business success.
