This research paper titled “A Study on Portfolio Management Services (PMS) in India” aims to explore the structure, functioning, and performance of PMS in the Indian financial market. The study highlights how portfolio managers design, manage, and optimize investment portfolios to achieve superior returns while minimizing risk. Data was collected through primary and secondary sources, including financial reports, SEBI publications, and discussions with finance professionals. The findings indicate that PMS is increasingly popular among high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) due to its personalized investment strategies and potential for higher returns compared to traditional investment avenues. However, high fees, regulatory compliance, and market volatility remain key challenges.
