Performance appraisal systems play a vital role in evaluating employee effectiveness and enhancing organizational performance. Traditional appraisal methods often rely on single-source evaluations, which may result in bias and incomplete performance assessment. To overcome these limitations, organizations have increasingly adopted the 360-degree feedback system, which gathers performance-related feedback from multiple sources including supervisors, peers, subordinates, and self- assessment. This research paper examines the concept of the 360-degree feedback system and analyzes its impact on employee performance improvement. The study is based on secondary data collected from academic journals, books, and research reports. The findings indicate that the 360-degree feedback system enhances self-awareness, improves communication, supports employee development, and contributes positively to performance improvement when implemented effectively. However, challenges such as resistance to feedback and confidentiality concerns must be carefully managed for successful implementation.
