In today’s dynamic business environment, effective financial management plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning and long-term sustainability of organizations. Among the various financial activities, the management of short-term liabilities is particularly important, as it directly impacts an organization’s cash flow, credibility, and operational efficiency. One of the key components of managing short-term obligations is the Accounts Payable (AP) function. Accounts Payable refers to the process through which an organization manages its obligations to suppliers and vendors for goods and services received on credit. It involves a series of structured activities such as invoice receipt, verification, approval, recording of liabilities, and payment execution. A well-defined Accounts Payable process ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and that payments are made within the agreed time frame. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Accounts Payable process and its significance in ensuring financial accuracy and timely vendor payments. By analyzing the existing practices, identifying challenges, and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and systems, the study seeks to offer meaningful insights that can help organizations improve their Accounts Payable operations.
