Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), including heart attacks, coronary artery disease, and heart failure, remain one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. Early diagnosis and prediction of cardiovascular diseases are crucial for reducing mortality rates and improving patient outcomes. Traditional diagnostic techniques rely heavily on clinical expertise, laboratory tests, and imaging procedures, which can be time-consuming and expensive. In recent years, Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models have emerged as powerful tools for predicting heart disease by analyzing large volumes of medical data and identifying hidden patterns that may not be easily detected by conventional methods. This paper presents a detailed survey on Machine Learning Models for Heart and Cardiovascular Disease Prediction.

Full Article/Conclusion

It can be concluded form the previous discussions that several challenges remain in applying machine learning models to cardiovascular disease prediction. One major issue is the availability and quality of medical datasets. Many datasets used in research are relatively small or limited to specific populations, which may affect the generalization of models in real-world clinical environments. Additionally, concerns related to model interpretability, data privacy, and clinical validation must be addressed before these systems can be widely adopted in healthcare. Machine learning and deep learning techniques have significantly improved the prediction and early detection of heart and cardiovascular diseases.
