AI-powered image recognition is an important application of Artificial Intelligence and deep learning that enables computers to identify and classify images automatically. This study focuses on the development and evaluation of image recognition models using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and transfer learning techniques. Different models were analyzed using performance metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results showed that deep learning models provide high accuracy and efficient image classification performance. The research also highlights challenges including data bias, large dataset dependency, and model interpretability. AI-powered image recognition has important applications in healthcare, security, retail, and automation systems.
KEYWORDS
This research demonstrates that AI-powered image recognition systems can achieve high accuracy and efficiency using deep learning techniques such as CNNs and transfer learning models. Among the evaluated models, ResNet50 and InceptionV3 showed superior performance in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Data augmentation and preprocessing techniques significantly improved model robustness and classification capability. However, several challenges remain, including data bias, large dataset dependency, and limited interpretability of deep learning models. These issues highlight the importance of developing fair, transparent, and reliable AI systems for real-world applications. Successful implementation of AI-powered image recognition requires: High-quality and diverse training datasets Efficient deep learning architectures Proper preprocessing and regularization techniques Future research should focus on: Explainable AI techniques Bias reduction methods Advanced architectures such as Vision Transformers Real-time and low-resource image recognition systems AI-powered image recognition has the potential to transform industries including healthcare, security, retail, and automation, making continued research and innovation essential for future technological advancement.
