The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies has enabled automation in various industries, including smart kitchens. However, traditional kitchen management systems lack real-time monitoring, equipment tracking, and safety inspection mechanisms. This paper proposes an AI-powered kitchen equipment tracking and inspection system that enhances operational efficiency, safety, and maintenance management. The system integrates IoT sensors, RFID tags, and machine learning algorithms to monitor kitchen equipment usage, detect faults, and ensure hygiene compliance. Real-time data is collected and analyzed to predict maintenance needs and generate alerts. A cloud-based dashboard enables remote monitoring and reporting. Experimental results demonstrate improved efficiency, reduced equipment downtime, and enhanced safety standards.
KEYWORDS
● The AI-powered kitchen equipment’s tracking and inspection system provides a smart and efficient approach to modern kitchen management by integrating Artificial Intelligence, IoT sensors, and cloud computing technologies. The system enables real-time monitoring of equipment conditions, tracks usage patterns, and detects faults at an early stage. By analyzing parameters such as temperature, power consumption, and operational behavior, the proposed system improves maintenance planning and reduces unexpected equipment failures. ● The implementation of machine learning algorithms enhances the system’s ability to perform predictive maintenance, thereby minimizing downtime and operational costs. Additionally, the cloud based dashboard and alert mechanisms ensure continuous monitoring and timely notifications, improving safety and overall efficiency. Compared to traditional manual inspection methods, the system significantly reduces human effort, increases accuracy, and ensures better resource utilization. Although there are some challenges such as sensor dependency, initial setup cost, and data security concerns, the system demonstrates strong potential for real-world applications in smart kitchens, restaurants, and industrial food environments. Future improvements can focus on integrating advanced AI models, improving sensor accuracy, and enabling edge computing for faster processing and enhanced scalability.
