â The legal system plays a vital role in maintaining justice and social order, yet accessing legal information remains difficult for many individuals due to complex legal terminology, high consultation costs, and limited availability of professional assistance. Recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) have enabled the development of intelligent legal assistance systems capable of automating legal processes and improving accessibility. This working paper presents a comprehensive study of AI-powered legal assistance technologies including legal chatbots, document summarization systems, lawyer recommendation models, and legal case prediction frameworks. Modern technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and semantic search mechanisms are explored to understand how they enhance legal information retrieval and user interaction. The study analyzes multiple research contributions that integrate conversational AI, machine learning algorithms, and intelligent recommendation systems to provide real-time legal guidance. The findings indicate that AI-based legal systems significantly reduce human effort, improve decision- making efficiency, and democratize access to justice. Despite challenges such as data privacy, bias, and ethical concerns, AI-driven legal platforms show strong potential in transforming traditional legal services into more transparent, affordable, and user-friendly systems.
