The widespread adoption of digital payment ecosystems has rendered conventional manual methods of personal financial tracking inadequate for modern users. This paper presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of an AI-Powered Personal Finance Intelligence Platform—a full-stack web application integrating machine learning-driven expense forecasting with comprehensive financial record management. The system is built using a React.js/Next.js frontend, a Node.js/Express.js RESTful backend, and a MongoDB document database, augmented by a Python-based AI prediction module employing Random Forest Regression. The platform enables users to monitor income sources, categorize daily expenditure, set category-wise budgets, manage EMI obligations, track savings goals, and generate downloadable PDF financial reports. A rule-based smart recommendation engine supplements the predictive model by providing personalized advisory insights concerning overspending patterns, debt burden levels, and savings optimization strategies. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the system reliably forecasts monthly expenditures from historical transaction data, achieving a mean absolute error of approximately INR 1,842 and an overall prediction accuracy of 91.3%, significantly outperforming conventional expense- tracking tools in financial intelligence depth.

This paper presented the complete design, implementation, and experimental evaluation of an AI-Powered Personal Finance Intelligence Platform—a full-stack web application integrating machine learning-based expense forecasting, comprehensive financial transaction management, and a personalised recommendation engine within a unified deployable architecture. All eight system modules achieved 100% functional correctness, with AI expense prediction attaining 91.3% accuracy and a MAE of INR 1,842 against synthetic user datasets. The platform successfully bridges the gap between passive financial record-keeping and proactive intelligence-driven personal financial advisory. Future enhancements include: automatic bank statement and UPI transaction import via open-banking APIs; real-time SMS-based expense detection; an AI conversational chatbot for natural-language financial queries; mobile application integration for Android and iOS platforms; income tax estimation and investment growth prediction modules. These extensions will progressively evolve the platform toward a commercially viable, comprehensive digital financial companion.
