This paper outlines the development of an Air Quality Monitoring System using Arduino, aimed at measuring the Air Quality Index (AQI) in real-time, specifically tailored for chemical industry environments. The system integrates MQ series sensors to detect harmful gases like carbon monoxide, ammonia, and benzene, along with a DHT11 sensor for monitoring temperature and humidity. The primary objective is to create a portable, low-power device that provides accurate, real-time air quality data, enabling timely alerts when pollutant levels exceed safety thresholds. The methodology includes component selection, hardware assembly, software development, and extensive testing both in controlled environments and in the field. The system is designed to be cost-effective, easy to use, and reliable, making it suitable for small-scale industrial deployments and educational purposes. The paper culminates in a robust solution that contributes to enhanced safety and awareness in industrial settings by providing critical air quality information, facilitating prompt responses to hazardous conditions.
