Heart disease is one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, making early prediction and diagnosis critical. This paper presents a machine learning-based heart disease prediction system designed to assist patients and healthcare professionals in identifying potential cardiovascular risks. The system utilizes clinical and lifestyle-related data to predict the likelihood of heart disease using classification algorithms such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest, and Multilayer Perceptron (MLP). Data preprocessing, feature selection, and model training are performed to improve prediction accuracy. The proposed system provides a cost-effective, time-efficient, and accessible solution for early diagnosis.
KEYWORDS
Heart disease remains a major global health concern, requiring early detection and preventive measures. This paper presented a machine learning-based heart disease prediction system that provides fast, cost-effective, and reliable predictions. The system uses classification algorithms such as SVM to analyze patient data and determine the likelihood of heart disease. The results demonstrate that the proposed model achieves good accuracy and can assist in early diagnosis, thereby reducing the risk of severe complications. The web-based implementation ensures accessibility and ease of use, especially in areas with limited healthcare facilities. While the system shows promising results, it is intended to support medical professionals rather than replace them. Future improvements can further enhance accuracy by incorporating advanced algorithms, larger datasets, and real-time health monitoring systems.
