The security and effectiveness of contemporary computer networks are crucially dependent on network traffic analysis. The demand for sophisticated analytic tools increases as network traffic complexity and volume both continue to rise. The usage of Wireshark, a popular open-source network protocol analyzer, for in-depth network traffic analysis is examined in this research article. We explore a range of topics related to network traffic analysis, such as packet capture, protocol decoding, anomaly detection, and performance enhancement. We show how Wireshark may be used to strengthen network security and raise overall network performance through a series of experiments and case studies.
