Automation has become an essential part of modern industrial systems, improving productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency. The Automated Pick and Place Robotic Arm is designed to perform object handling operations automatically with minimum human intervention. The system utilizes an Arduino Uno microcontroller as the central processing unit, six servo motors for robotic arm movement, and two IR sensors for object detection and positioning. The robotic arm is capable of detecting an object, picking it from one location, and placing it at another predefined position. The use of multiple servo motors provides flexibility and enables precise movement in different directions. The IR sensors continuously monitor the presence of objects and provide feedback to the controller for accurate operation. The project aims to reduce manual labor, increase operational efficiency, and demonstrate the implementation of robotic automation in industrial applications. The system can be used in manufacturing industries, packaging systems, assembly lines, warehouses, and educational robotics platforms. The proposed system is cost-effective, reliable, and easy to implement. It provides a practical demonstration of robotic automation and serves as a foundation for future developments in industrial robotics and intelligent automation systems.
KEYWORDS
The Automated Pick and Place Robotic Arm was successfully designed and implemented using Arduino Uno, six servo motors, two IR sensors, and an XL6009 power module. The system is capable of automatically detecting, picking, and placing objects with minimal human intervention. The coordinated operation of the sensors, controller, and servo motors ensures accurate and reliable object handling. The project demonstrates the practical application of robotics and automation in material handling systems. It reduces manual effort, improves productivity, minimizes human errors, and provides a cost-effective automation solution. The developed system can be effectively used in industries, warehouses, packaging units, and educational robotics applications. Overall, the project successfully achieved its objectives and provides a strong foundation for future enhancements such as computer vision, IoT connectivity, and AI-based automation
