Abstract

This study investigates the impact of brand promotion strategies on market performance at Bindhu Engineering Industries, a Coimbatore-based manufacturer of electric motors and pumps. Using a structured questionnaire administered to 150 respondents, the research employs descriptive statistics, chi-square analysis, correlation, and ANOVA to evaluate how promotional activities influence consumer purchasing decisions and overall market outcomes. Findings reveal that advertising, customer testimonials, and public relations are the dominant promotional tools, and that branding effectiveness positively correlates with income levels (r = 0.900, p < 0.01). A well-aligned, integrated brand promotion strategy significantly enhances market reach, customer loyalty, and competitive positioning for industrial firms.

Full Article/Conclusion

This study confirms that brand promotion plays a pivotal role in shaping the market performance of Bindhu Engineering Industries. Over 80% of respondents recognised branding as effective or very effective. Income and branding effectiveness are strongly correlated (r = 0.900), and educational background significantly moderates brand perception (F = 161.1). ■   Expand Digital Marketing: Only 22% leverage digital channels; prioritise social media, SEO, and email campaigns to reach younger, tech-savvy customers. ■   Systematic Testimonial Programme: Since testimonials and opinion leaders top brand-enhancement rankings, develop structured influencer partnerships with industry professionals. ■   Segment by Income & Education: Higher-income respondents perceive branding more positively; tiered premium campaigns may yield stronger ROI. ■   Quality Control Improvement: Breakage is the most cited defect type (40.7%); packaging and logistics enhancements will directly support brand equity. ■   Loyalty Rewards Programme: Loyalty points and bonus packs can strengthen post-purchase brand preference and drive repeat business.
