Abstract

The development of three-wheeler electric vehicles (EVs) has gained significant attention due to increasing environmental concerns, rising fuel costs, and the need for sustainable transportation. This project focuses on the design and fabrication of the braking system, sheet metal components, and bodywork of a three-wheeler electric vehicle. The braking system is a critical safety component that ensures reliable stopping performance under various driving conditions. In this work, an efficient and cost-effective braking mechanism is designed considering factors such as load distribution, stopping distance, and driver control. Suitable materials and components are selected to improve durability and performance. Sheet metal fabrication plays an important role in constructing the vehicle structure. Various fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, and welding are used to manufacture the chassis and body panels. The design ensures strength, lightweight construction, and ease of manufacturing while maintaining structural integrity. The bodywork of the vehicle is designed to provide safety, comfort, and aerodynamic efficiency. Proper attention is given to ergonomics, aesthetics, and material selection to enhance the overall performance and appearance of the vehicle.
