The general health and quality of life depend on teeth. Healthy oral and dental hygiene entails being free from ailments such as gum disease, tooth decay, tooth loss, and cancer of the throat. Dental caries is one of the conditions that affect teeth. The International Caries Detection and Assessment System is one of the categories for the dental caries disease (ICDAS). A solid medical learning strategy will improve one’s comprehension of medical students. The purpose of this study is to develop an augmented reality learning media application for dental caries utilizing the ICDAS classification. Unity 3D software was used to create a markerless augmented reality application for Android. Using this programme to manipulate object rotation and object zoom provides benefits. However, there are still issues with this application’s precise object design and when the user scans the surroundings. SUS testing yields a value of 83, indicating that the application is both acceptable and practicable for user usage. Because augmented reality can be utilized as a learning tool, especially in the field of dentistry, the development of applications for learning dental caries according to the ICDAS categorization is quite beneficial.
