Abstract

A Community Tool Library (CTL) is a digital platform designed to promote sustainable resource utilization by enabling users to share tools within a community. This research proposes a web-based system that facilitates tool lending, tracking, and maintenance using modern technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and MongoDB. The platform reduces unnecessary purchases, minimizes environmental impact, and enhances community collaboration. Features such as predictive maintenance alerts and gamification further improve user engagement and operational efficiency. The system supports the concept of a circular economy by transitioning ownership-based consumption into access-based sharing.
