Attendance tracking is a crucial process in educational institutions and workplaces to monitor presence and performance. Traditionally, attendance is recorded manually, which is time-consuming and error-prone. While biometric systems such as fingerprint scanning and RFID-based methods exist, they also present limitations such as security risks and inefficiency. This project proposes an automated attendance system using face recognition technology to streamline the attendance process. By capturing and recognizing faces using image processing techniques, the system marks attendance in real-time. This solution integrates digital image processing, machine learning, and a robust database to store and manage attendance records.
