CrimeTrack is a smart and centralized crime reporting and management system developed to modernize the traditional process of crime registration, complaint handling, and communication between citizens and law enforcement agencies. In many existing systems, crime reporting still depends on manual paperwork, physical visits to police stations, delayed responses, and lack of transparency. These limitations often discourage citizens from reporting incidents and reduce the overall efficiency of crime management. With the advancement of Web Technologies, Cloud Computing, Real-Time Communication, and Artificial Intelligence, intelligent digital systems can significantly improve public safety and administrative efficiency. CrimeTrack provides a secure and user-friendly platform where citizens can report crimes online, upload evidence, track complaint status, apply for Police Clearance Certificates (PCC), and access emergency services such as SOS alerts. Police officers, senior officers, and administrators can efficiently manage complaints, communicate with users, verify reports, and monitor system activities through dedicated dashboards. This paper presents an overview of the technologies and modules used in CrimeTrack, including React.js for frontend development, Node.js and Express.js for backend services, MongoDB for database management, Socket.io for real-time communication, and Cloudinary for media storage. The system also integrates advanced features such as facial recognition for suspect identification, AI-based legal assistance, geolocation tracking for emergencies, multilingual support, and mobile application access. Furthermore, the study discusses system architecture, functional workflow, implementation strategies, testing results, challenges faced during development, and future opportunities for smart policing systems. The proposed system demonstrates that modern full-stack web technologies combined with artificial intelligence can greatly enhance transparency, accessibility, and response time in crime reporting systems. The study concludes that CrimeTrack can serve as an efficient, scalable, and intelligent platform that supports law enforcement agencies while empowering citizens through faster, safer, and more transparent digital services.

Crime management is one of the most important responsibilities of any society, and an efficient reporting system plays a major role in maintaining public safety, transparency, and trust between citizens and law enforcement agencies. Traditional crime reporting methods often depend on manual paperwork, physical visits to police stations, delayed communication, and fragmented record management. These limitations create inconvenience for citizens and reduce the overall efficiency of police operations. Therefore, the integration of modern digital technologies into public safety systems has become an essential area of development. This research paper presented a comprehensive study of CrimeTrack, a smart and centralized crime reporting and management platform developed using modern web technologies, cloud computing, real-time communication, and artificial intelligence. The system provides an easy-to-use platform where citizens can register complaints online, upload evidence, track complaint status, access emergency SOS services, and use additional facilities such as Police Clearance Certificate applications and support services. The study also discussed important modules such as secure user authentication, complaint management, cloud-based evidence storage, real-time chat and alerts, geolocation-based emergency response, mobile accessibility, and AI-powered services such as face recognition and legal assistance. These features help improve response time, transparency, and communication between citizens and authorities. The implementation results show that the developed system performs efficiently under normal operating conditions. Core modules such as complaint registration, dashboards, chat, and emergency alerts demonstrated reliable performance with positive user experience. The system proved that full-stack web applications combined with intelligent technologies can significantly modernize traditional crime management processes. Although the platform achieved successful results, challenges such as internet dependency, cybersecurity risks, scalability requirements, and AI accuracy under varying conditions still remain. These challenges can be addressed through future improvements such as stronger security mechanisms, predictive analytics, smart surveillance integration, and advanced AI models. In conclusion, CrimeTrack has great potential to support law enforcement agencies and empower citizens through faster, safer, and more transparent digital services. With continuous advancements in technology, such intelligent systems can play a major role in building smarter cities, improving governance, and creating a safer society for all.
