Abstract

The rapid growth of urban populations necessitates the adoption, Development of an Intelligent Urban Management System for Smart Cities, proposes an integrated IoT-based solution addressing five critical aspects of modern urban living. The project involves the design of a Smart Dustbin system using sensors for real-time waste level monitoring to optimize collection. It includes a Smart Traffic Management system designed to regulate traffic flow through adaptive signal control using sensor inputs. To enhance energy efficiency, an of intelligent, sustainable infrastructure to improve quality of life and operational efficiency. This capstone project Automated Street Light system is demonstrated, turning lights ON/OFF based on ambient light levels and motion detection. Furthermore, the project supports, a smart Fire Detection System is incorporated to trigger alerts during emergencies. By consolidating these five subsystems, this project delivers a cohesive, automated, and sustainable framework aimed at reducing, resource consumption, enhancing public sanitation, and fostering a safer urban environment. The proposed system utilizes microcontrollers and IoT connectivity to provide real-time monitoring, paving the way for efficient, data-driven municipal governance.
