Inter Integrated Circuit is a half-duplex communication protocol. It is a bus interface connection protocol incorporated into devices for serial communication. It is a widely used protocol for short-distance communication. It is also known as Two Wired Interface (TWI). Physical I2C interface consists of the serial clock (SCL) and serial data (SDA) lines .The I2C bus is a very popular and powerful bus used for communication between a master (or multiple masters) and a single or multiple slave devices. Common I2C bus speeds are 100 kbps in standard mode, 400 kbps in fast mode, 3.4 Mbps in high-speed mode and 5 Mbps in ultra- fast mode. Software interfaces between software programmes and hardware devices are known as device drivers. Device drivers are regarded exceedingly tough to build as part of a complicated operating system. Device drivers are software interfaces between software programmes and hardware devices. As part of a complex operating system, device drivers are thought to be extremely difficult to develop. Code written in C language will be converted into binary which is fed into processor to perform operations with desired module. The goal of this project is to design and construct an I2C driver that connects to the A2O core via the AMBA AXI4 bus interface. The GCC compiler will be used to produce the driver. The C programming language will be used to create the drivers
