The increasing adoption of digital certificates by educational institutions and organizations has created a need for reliable methods to verify their authenticity. Traditional certificate verification processes are often time-consuming and vulnerable to fraudulent activities. This paper presents a web-based Digital Certificate Verification System developed using the MERN Stack, which includes MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js[5]. The proposed system provides a centralized platform for certificate creation, storage, verification, and download. The application consists of an administrator module that allows authorized users to generate certificates through customizable templates and maintain student records securely. Once a certificate is created, a unique certificate identifier is assigned and stored in the database. Students can access and download their certificates through the system, while external users can verify certificate authenticity through a dedicated verification page by entering the certificate identification details. The system ensures data integrity, reduces manual verification efforts, and provides quick access to certificate information. By integrating modern web technologies, the proposed solution delivers a responsive user interface, efficient data management, and secure communication between system components. The implementation demonstrates how digital transformation can simplify certificate management processes while improving transparency and trust. The developed platform can be adopted by educational institutions, training centers, and organizations that require a secure and efficient certificate verification mechanism.

The Digital Certificate Verification System was developed to provide a secure and efficient approach for managing certificates in a digital environment. The system successfully integrates certificate creation, storage, downloading, and verification into a single web-based platform, reducing the limitations associated with traditional manual certificate handling. By using the MERN Stack, the application achieves a clear separation between the user interface, server logic, and database management[5][8]. This structure improves maintainability and allows smooth communication between different components of the system. The use of MongoDB ensures flexible storage of certificate records, while Node.js and Express.js handle backend operations efficiently. React.js provides an interactive interface that supports easy navigation for administrators, students, and external users. The implemented system reduces the time required for certificate verification by enabling instant validation through a unique certificate identifier. It also minimizes the risk of fraudulent certificates by ensuring that only records stored in the database are considered valid. The template-based generation feature further simplifies the certificate creation process and ensures consistency in output design. Overall, the system achieves its objective of providing a reliable digital solution for certificate management and verification. It enhances accessibility, improves operational efficiency, and supports the transition from manual documentation to automated digital systems.
