The increasing demand for affordable and flexible storage solutions has highlighted limitations in traditional cloud services, such as high costs and centralized control. DiskSpace introduces a peer-to-peer (P2P) disk space rental system that enables users to lease unused storage securely. By integrating blockchain for transparency, encryption for data security, and dynamic pricing for fairness, the platform aims to decentralize storage allocation. Key innovations include smart contract-based transactions, file redundancy through erasure coding, and real-time monitoring. This paper outlines the system’s architecture, technical implementation, and potential applications, positioning it as a viable alternative to conventional cloud storage models.
