This paper presents a comprehensive review of earth leakage measurement techniques for electrical safety. The principles, advantages, limitations, and applications of various methods, including current transformers, Hall effect sensors, residual current devices, Rogowski coils, and non-intrusive current sensors, are discussed. A comparative analysis evaluates performance, accuracy, sensitivity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of these techniques. Emerging trends and future directions in earth leakage measurement are explored. The paper aims to assist researchers, engineers, and technicians in selecting suitable techniques for specific requirements. Accurate earth leakage measurement is crucial for identifying faults, implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. .
