EFFECT OF TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF MANAGEMENT STUDENTS

Time management has become a crucial skill for students in higher education, especially in management studies where academic workload and extracurricular responsibilities are significant. This study examines the effect of time management skills on the academic performance of management students. The objective is to analyze how planning, prioritization, and scheduling influence students’ academic outcomes. A quantitative research design was adopted, and data were collected from 150 management students using a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, correlation, and regression were used for data interpretation. The results indicate a strong positive relationship between time management skills and academic performance. Students who effectively manage their time tend to achieve higher grades and maintain better academic consistency. Additionally, goal setting and reduced procrastination significantly contribute to improved performance. The study concludes that enhancing time management skills can lead to better academic outcomes and recommends that educational institutions provide training programs to develop these skills.
