This research paper discusses the usefulness of Pay for Performance (P4P) system in promoting the productivity of employees at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is an IT giant company in India. The research evaluates the employee awareness, the sense of fairness and transparency, the level of motivation, and the influence of the system on the productivity by means of the structured questionnaire passed among 60 employees. As the findings show, most employees report positive motivational and productivity outcomes associated with P4P, but issues related to transparency, clarity of performance objectives, and the potential bias on the part of managers hinders its potential. The analysis reveals that enhanced communication, unbiased assessment procedures, and balanced incentives structure is required to make the most out of P4P. It makes recommendations on how the system can be refined to further align the efforts of the employees with the organizational goals without deteriorating the levels of job satisfaction and engagement.
