Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming organizational processes, decision-making, and employee work experiences across industries. As organizations increasingly integrate AI technologies into daily operations, employee attitudes toward AI have emerged as a critical determinant of successful implementation. Positive employee attitudes can accelerate adoption and enhance organizational performance, while negative perceptions may lead to resistance, reduced trust, and implementation failure. This review article synthesizes contemporary literature on employee attitudes toward AI adoption in organizations. The review examines the conceptual foundations of employee attitudes, theoretical frameworks explaining AI acceptance, factors influencing employee perceptions, benefits and challenges associated with AI adoption, and organizational strategies that promote positive employee engagement with AI technologies. Findings indicate that employee attitudes are influenced by perceived usefulness, trust, organizational support, technological anxiety, job security concerns, and AI literacy. The review concludes that successful AI adoption requires a human-centred approach that balances technological innovation with employee well-being, transparency, and continuous learning. This article examines employee perceptions toward AI adoption in organizations, the factors influencing these perceptions, common concerns and opportunities, and strategies organizations can use to foster positive attitudes toward AI.

Full Article/Conclusion

Employee perception plays a decisive role in the success of AI adoption within organizations. While employees recognize the potential of AI to enhance productivity, innovation, and decision-making, concerns regarding job security, trust, privacy, and technological anxiety continue to shape attitudes toward adoption. Research consistently demonstrates that perceived usefulness, trust, organizational support, and employee involvement significantly influence acceptance of AI technologies. Organizations that prioritize transparent communication, training, ethical governance, and human-centered implementation strategies are more likely to achieve successful AI integration while maintaining employee trust and engagement.
