Power quality disturbances, such as voltage sags, harmonics, and flickers, are growing concerns due to the increas- ing integration of nonlinear loads and renewable energy sources. The Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is an effective solution that injects compensating voltage to maintain stable supply conditions. This paper explores DVR operation, design, and control strategies, including PI control, for real-time applications. The implementation of DVR enhances grid stability, reduces downtime, and improves energy efficiency. Future advancements, such as integration with smart grids, renewable energy, and AI- based controls, are also discussed to enhance DVR performance in modern power systems.
