As more and more smart home gadgets pop up, keeping them running is key. Smart upkeep using AI and machine learning tricks, can spot device problems before they happen. But the usual cloud-based setups have some snags, like delays and privacy worries. This study looks into putting AI and machine learning models right inside the smart home gadgets’ tiny computers. This lets them handle upkeep on the spot, in real-time. By tweaking these models to work with limited resources, the research hopes to cut down on device downtime and make them last longer. It’s a hands-on way to do smart upkeep without leaning on cloud computing.
