Enhancing Reinforced Concrete Beams with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Sheets

In day todays life, it is an important to modify, repair, rehabilitation or reconstruction of existing structures because of various factors like bond failure between beam and column joint, corrosion which leads deterioration, natural disasters etc. These factors results in cracking of our structures, i.e the structures becomes unserviceable. Hence the modification of these structures is required. This paper shows an experimental study on RC beams retrofitted using unidirectional and bi-directional CFRP sheet. The main objective of this study is to investigate the behaviour of RC beams after retrofitting with CFRP sheets.
