Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping the landscape of healthcare by offering groundbreaking tools for diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care. However, this technological evolution brings with it a range of ethical dilemmas. As AI becomes more ingrained in clinical practice, questions of responsibility, transparency, and fairness emerge. When AI systems contribute to errors in diagnosis or treatment, the question of who is accountableâdevelopers, physicians, or the AI itselfâremains unresolved. Furthermore, many AI systems operate as âblack boxes,â with limited explainable, thereby eroding trust among patients and clinicians. Additionally, AI systems trained on biased or incomplete data can unintentionally perpetuate healthcare disparities. Patient privacy is also at risk, as AI systems often require vast datasets that contain sensitive information. Lastly, there is a fear that over-reliance on AI could diminish the role of human judgment in medicine. This paper delves into these ethical challenges and argues for a responsible and transparent integration of AI in healthcare.
