Ziprasidone Hydrochloride is a psychotropic agent with variable bioavailability and poor solubility, prompting the need for advanced gastroretentive drug delivery systems. This paper proposes a hypothetical framework for the formulation development and evaluation of floating matrix tablets of Ziprasidone Hydrochloride. By integrating traditional polymer-based matrix design with emerging computational prediction techniques, we outline a comprehensive strategy to optimize gastric residence time and controlled drug release. The proposed methodology encompasses strategic material selection, in silico predictive modeling, and robust in vitro evaluation protocols to ensure long-term therapeutic efficacy.
KEYWORDS
The formulation development of Ziprasidone Hydrochloride into a floating matrix tablet represents a vital step toward enhancing the clinical efficacy of this antipsychotic medication. In this paper, we proposed a hybrid methodology that combines established pharmaceutical polymer science with advanced computational predictions. By identifying the critical bottlenecks of traditional trial-and-error formulation—such as high costs, slow timelines, and unpredictable molecular interactions—we outlined a modern systems engineering approach. Our framework integrates AI-driven excipient selection (4)(1) with rigorous in vitro testing benchmarks to optimize gastric retention and controlled release profiles. Ultimately, the future of pharmaceutical formulation lies in the seamless integration of cross-disciplinary innovations. Just as complex physical phenomena—from string theory symmetries (9) to vacuum spacetimes (10)—require sophisticated mathematical formalisms for rigorous analysis, modern drug delivery systems demand precise, mathematically sound development protocols. By embracing computational intelligence, structured project science (6), and advanced polymer chemistry (5), researchers can ensure that challenging therapies like Ziprasidone Hydrochloride are delivered safely, effectively, and consistently, thereby significantly improving patient outcomes in psychiatric care.
