Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping the world of software engineering, including code generation and bug detection and repair. We offer an integrated approach by combining transformer type language models to generate high quality code from natural language code description and then localise bugs in code and repair it. With our system, by training large data sets from open-source programming databases and using complex preprocessing techniques to convert absolute input into structured and informative input. The approach consists of training in supervised and fine-tuning modes, and the development of two components: code synthesis; bug detection and repair. You are made aware of the attention mechanisms that are used in order to be able to learn the programming context and generate syntactically and logically reliable code. A verification module (compilation, unit testing and static analysis) guarantees the correctness of the produced code. The system has been evaluated across data until October 2023, and it seems that the system is successful in code generation as well as bug fixing with improved accuracy, precision and speed against traditional approach. Incorporates a feedback mechanism which enables learning to keep up with the evolving patterns of coding and the requirements of users. It highlights the contribution of generative AI in speeding up and simplifying development and solving problems related to security, logical reasoning and complex tasks. GenAI models can potentially transform software development practices by automating some key tasks and improving productivity, according to the findings of the research. But it still requires human effort to maintain code quality and safety. There is a future scope that could be done on making it more interpretable, more secure and developing domain specific AI Models. Finally, the proposed framework will be useful in developing intelligent programming systems and embedding AI-enabled programming tools.
KEYWORDS
Lastly, this work demonstrates the tremendous capacity of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in software development for code generation and debugging bugs. The system proposed in this paper takes natural language input as well as context information and compiles the text into a syntactically correct code, which saves time in writing such programs. What Recent Advancements in Programming with AI Models Mean for 2022 and Beyond With transformer models, you can intuitively spot programming patterns allowing to do more accurate and faster well… programming. In addition, the ability of the system to identify and rectify bugs provides an intuitive answer for correcting coding mistakes. With the help of machine learning, it identifies various syntactic and logical errors and can generate corrections. Compilation and unit tests are used as validation techniques which loosely decouple the usage of a code at a given point in time. It allows the system to learn gradually through an iterative learning process and improves in performance. ALSO READ: But there are some possible complications. The system might perform less well with complex programming requirements, vague input needs or extremely tight input requirements. Furthermore, the danger of generating inefficient or even unsafe code requires human inspection and thorough testing. These challenges also make it even more apparent that while generative AI can unlock opportunities, it ought to be aligned with human capabilities. In conclusion, the findings suggest that generative AI models are a useful tool for improving productivity and quality in software development. It is a new way to propose systems which embed automation, learning and validation in us allowing the smart programming systems evolve. New research to give models better accuracy, security and interpretability will continue to fortify AI based tools and solutions as systemic elements of software development in the coming years.
