Green bonds have emerged as a funding solution for eco-friendly projects which aim to address climate change challenges. Funding flows into projects which include wind and solar power development and public transit system improvements and clean water system construction which serve to protect the environment. Some money moves silently but here it moves with clear intent. Not every investment does this kind of work. The system operates in a transparent way because money flows toward areas where damage occurs at a reduced pace. This study investigates the development of green bonds in India from 2015 until 2025. The research foundation consists of data obtained from The Climate Bonds Initiative, SEBI, RBI, and research articles and industry studies. The green bond market experienced significant advancement through regulatory reforms and government-backed green bond initiatives and increased public awareness. The market experiences difficulties because issuers depend on a small number of companies. The process of verifying green claims requires substantial effort which results in ongoing high expenses. The absence of a standard definition for climate-friendly products results in persistent uncertainty. The green bond market in India is currently experiencing rapid growth. The design requires improvements to achieve better access and more efficient operation.
