Hands to Voice is an AI-powered application that enables real-time translation of sign language gestures into audible speech and text, aiming to bridge the communication gap between hearing impaired individuals and the broader community. The system utilizes computer vision techniques with MediaPipe for accurate hand landmark detection, and a deep learning-based gesture classification model (CNN or LSTM) trained on sign language datasets such as ASL. Recognized gestures are mapped to corresponding words or phrases and converted into natural speech using Text-to-Speech (TTS) technology. A user-friendly interface, developed using Python frameworks like Streamlit, allows live webcam input for hands-free interaction with mobile optimization through TensorFlow Lite, the system has potential for real-world deployment in schools, hospitals and public spaces to foster inclusive communication.
