In the era of digital transformation, professional networking has evolved beyond traditional resumes and conferences. Engineers today rely heavily on online platforms to share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and form professional relationships that drive innovation. However, most existing social platforms fail to provide a targeted ecosystem for engineering-specific collaboration and networking. This research presents "Hello World," a dedicated digital platform designed to modernize engineering networking through secure, domain-specific community building. The proposed system enables users to create profiles, share posts (bytes), like content, connect with peers, and form collaborative groups for projects and academic studies. By providing a unified space for technical and social interaction, the platform streamlines communication and fosters innovation within the engineering community. The system is implemented using Android (Java/XML) for the frontend, Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, FCM) for backend services, and OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication. The study demonstrates how a domain-specific ecosystem enhances engagement, improves peer discovery, and provides a scalable foundation for professional growth in the engineering sector.
KEYWORDS
The "Hello World" platform redefines networking for engineers by bridging the gap between formal professional presence and informal technical collaboration. By enabling users to share bytes, join project groups, and connect with peers, the system fosters innovation, teamwork, and lifelong learning. This digital approach ensures that engineers have a dedicated, secure space to grow, ultimately making professional and social networking more accessible and efficient in an increasingly connected digital world.
