The Hospital Management System (HMS) is a web-based application developed to automate and streamline hospital operations. Traditional hospital management methods involve extensive paperwork and manual record maintenance, which can lead to inefficiencies, data redundancy, and delays in service delivery. The proposed system provides a centralized platform for managing patient records, doctor information, appointment scheduling, billing, payment processing, and invoice generation. The application is developed using React.js for the frontend, Spring Boot for the backend, and MySQL as the database. REST APIs facilitate communication between system components. The system improves operational efficiency, data accuracy, and accessibility while reducing manual effort.
KEYWORDS
The Hospital Management System was successfully designed and developed as a comprehensive web-based application to automate and simplify various hospital operations. The system effectively integrates essential functionalities such as patient registration, doctor management, appointment scheduling, billing, payment processing, and invoice generation into a single centralized platform. By replacing traditional manual processes with a computerized system, the application improves operational efficiency, reduces paperwork, minimizes human errors, and ensures accurate management of healthcare records. The use of modern technologies such as React.js, Spring Boot, and MySQL enables smooth communication between different system components while providing a responsive and user-friendly experience. The project demonstrates the practical implementation of full-stack web development concepts in the healthcare domain and highlights the importance of technology in improving healthcare services. Through successful testing and implementation, the system achieved its primary objectives of enhancing data accessibility, improving record management, and supporting efficient hospital administration.
