Social media marketing has become one of the most powerful marketing tools in the tourism and hospitality industry. Digital platforms are becoming the primary sources of destination knowledge, planning, reviews, recommendations, and travel experiences for travellers. Tourism in the state of Rajasthan has grown immensely, especially with the aid of digital marketing, for its rich cultural heritage, Palaces, forts, deserts, fairs and festivals. This study aims to analyze the effect of social media marketing on the tourist attractions of tourist destinations in Rajasthan. The data used in this research comprises primary data collected from 200 tourists through a well-structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using statistical techniques: correlation analysis, chi-square test, and regression analysis. The results showed that social media has a significant impact on tourists' decision to visit the destination, tourist planning behaviour, and their perception of Rajasthan. Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and travel blogs proved to be the most influential. The study suggests that the tourism authorities and industry in all the states of Rajasthan must enhance their digital marketing initiatives to boost destination branding and engagement with tourists. This is because the use of social media platforms is becoming increasingly vital for the tourism sector, especially in developing a destination image. The reason is that social media marketing is now more important than ever in the tourism industry, particularly when it comes to creating a tourist image of the destination.
