The study aimed to analyze the value chain of NHT with a special reference to Bhimbetka rock shelters in India. The research was conducted through a mixed-method approach, which included both primary and secondary data sources. The primary data were collected through survey questionnaires, interviews, and observations, while the secondary data were collected from various published and unpublished sources. The results of the study revealed that Bhimbetka rock shelters possess significant natural heritage value and are an important tourist destination. The value chain analysis showed that the site has the potential for enhancing its tourism value by focusing on improving the quality of services provided to tourists, promoting the site’s unique natural and cultural heritage, and diversifying tourism products. The study provides insights for policymakers, tourism managers, and local communities to develop sustainable tourism practices that preserve the natural heritage while generating economic benefits for the local communities.
