The effect of ion mass on the values of electrical elements such as capacitance (C), resistance (R) and inductance (L) for a D.C ion sheath has been theoretically examined. Quantitative estimations of the L, C and R components as a function of plasma density and sheath potential are analyzed for atomic argon and molecular nitrogen plasma at a particular electron temperature. Values of calculated frequencies are found to be higher for gas with lower atomic mass. It is seen that values of inductance and resistance are highly dependent on ion mass, whereas values of capacitance is mass independent. Further the values of inductance and resistance are found to be higher for higher atomic mass.
