Abstract

In today’s fast-changing global supply chains, managing logistics efficiently has become very important for companies to stay competitive. When logistics activities like import, export, and domestic transportation are handled separately, it often leads to delays, higher costs, and poor coordination. This study focuses on how integrating these logistics functions at TIF Labs Pvt. Ltd. can improve overall efficiency and reduce costs. The research is based on a survey of 75 employees who are involved in logistics and related operations. Their responses help in understanding how integration affects daily operations. The results show that integrating logistics improves shipment tracking, reduces repeated documentation work, and enhances coordination between departments like procurement, warehouse, and operations. Employees also found that real-time tracking and structured workflows make planning and execution easier. Statistical analysis confirms that logistics integration has a strong impact on cost efficiency. It also shows that better coordination between departments leads to timely delivery of shipments. Overall, the study concludes that logistics integration is not just about improving processes but also about strengthening the organization’s ability to respond quickly and work efficiently in a complex environment. Interdepartmental coordination and shipment timeliness highlights the critical role of organizational alignment in logistics performance. The study concludes that logistics integration extends beyond process improvement, functioning as a strategic capability that enhances supply chain responsiveness and operational reliability. By aligning systems, processes, and human coordination, organizations can achieve sustained efficiency and maintain a competitive advantage in complex industrial environments.

Full Article/Conclusion

The study shows that integrating logistics functions at TIF Labs has improved coordination, reduced delays, and increased efficiency. It also proves that integration helps in reducing costs and improving shipment performance. Although some challenges like documentation errors and manual processes still exist, they can be improved over time. A key takeaway is that logistics integration is not just about technology—it also depends on people and coordination between departments. In conclusion, logistics integration has added real value to the organization and will continue to improve performance if developed further.
