International trade plays a significant role in the growth and development of the Indian economy. It enables businesses to expand beyond domestic markets and access global opportunities. Indian businesses benefit from international trade through larger markets, increased foreign exchange earnings, employment generation, and exposure to advanced technologies. At the same time, they face several challenges such as intense global competition, trade barriers, currency fluctuations, and strict international regulations. Infrastructure limitations and political or economic uncertainties can also affect trade activities. Despite these challenges, international trade continues to provide major opportunities for Indian businesses to improve competitiveness and achieve long-term growth in the global market.
