Abstract

The IoT-Based Smart Water Quality Monitoring System aims to develop an intelligent and automated solution for real-time monitoring of water quality using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. With the growing concern over water pollution and contamination, there is an urgent need for a system that can continuously measure and evaluate water parameters to ensure safety and suitability for consumption. In this system, multiple sensors such as pH, turbidity, temperature, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen sensors are used to collect accurate and continuous readings of the water’s condition.

Full Article/Conclusion

The proposed IoT-Based Smart Water Quality Monitoring System consists of sensors, a microcontroller, communication modules, and a cloud platform for real-time monitoring and analysis of water quality parameters. Sensors such as pH, turbidity, temperature, and TDS sensors are used to measure the quality of water continuously. These sensors are connected to a microcontroller like ESP32, NodeMCU, or Arduino, which processes the collected data. The processed data is then transmitted to a cloud server through Wi-Fi or IoT communication technology for storage and visualization. Users can monitor the water quality remotely using a web application or mobile application. The system also includes an alert mechanism that sends notifications whenever any parameter exceeds the predefined safe limits. This automated and smart monitoring system improves accuracy, reduces manual effort, and enables efficient water quality management for domestic, industrial, and environmental applications.
